My Mostly Harmless Musings

It’s hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs because they always take things literally. BAZINGA

A truly inspirational quote. It has changed the way I live

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). To honor this event the Philadelphia Writers’ Conference and the Cheltenham library system is hosting a FREE event entitled Fast Drafting Your Novel. The event will explore: how to stay on track while fast-drafting a novel, what to do when you inevitably get stuck, and what steps to take once your draft is complete. I will be on a panel to speak on my experiences in writing and editing.

This event is Nov. 6th from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Elkins Park Library, 563 Church Rd. Elkins Park, PA. Refreshments will be served and one lucky attendee will win a hardbound copy of King’s On Writing.

If you ever wanted to write a novel, this is for you! If you don't want to write a novel then stop by anyway to say hi.

Looking for a book to read? Yes? Then I recommend The Incrementalists by Steven Brust and Skyler White. The story is a total mind F@#k, (which I like) but it so much more; much of the prose and sentence structure are amazing.

As a forensic statistician, and all around math nerd, I couldn't resist this. I'm not paranoid.

I will leave you with some entertainment. Neil Gaiman singing (I'm not sure if singing is the correct word) with his wife Amanda Palmer (who the verb is properly applied to; she is a great singer).

That's it for this post. Stay tuned for more.
