My Mostly Harmless Musings

This is a Something for Everyone Edition

The MUST WATCH movie of the year is Hell No: The Sensible Horror Film. It is what happens when people make good decisions.

Critics have called it the most realistic horror movie ever.

December, the month of holidays and beer, is now in full swing. But let us not forget this is the month where the entire world comes together to celebrate the most momentous of occasions. I think you know what I’m talking about, the birth of the Goddess Michelle.

A few images from the "Bless it be She" Party
 She finds us mortals amusing.

Here is blessing at you.
Who is this lucky guy?

Family Announcement: Daughter Gwendolyn is changing her surnom from Chubbles McGurkin (nee Disastrous McShamus) to Stormageddon Dark Lady of all (She likes Dr. Who). Her brother, Seth, is sticking with Mahoney, the Archduke of Mayhem.

My book recommendation of the month is The Lives of Tao by Wesley Chu. It is philosophically fulfilling and action packed. I’m looking forward to reading The Deaths of Tao.

I would be remiss if failed to thank the Huff Post for their hard hitting science articles (pun intended). They have provided us with the Scientific Definition of a Booty Call.

As I feel it is my duty to inform (it is my burden), there is something everyone reading post needs to know. The Manning Brothers have taken up the vocal artistry of rap. YES it's really THEM. I imagine Eli will be spending this year's playoffs watching his brother's games while working on his rhymes. The lyrics in this song are informative. I never knew spilling milk was a metaphor for football.

This year is Superman’s 75th anniversary. This video includes all the versions of Superman across time. Enjoy. I think you will recognize the music.

Here is a question for those of you who like numbers (or claim that they do). Is 25.8069 the root of all evil?

For my literary friends, who probably don't like numbers, here are the hundred best novels reported in 1889. I ask you this: how can you not be interested in this?

I will leave you with a final bit random miscellanea: in Ancient Greek, the word "idiot" referred to anyone who was not interested in politics. If you ask me, they got it backwards. Bazinga.

That's it for this post. Stay tuned for more.
