My Mostly Harmless Musings

Don't spell "part" backward. It's a trap!
A Public Service Announcement from Admiral Ackbar
(He's very serious about this.)

In the category of FACT, not fiction (in fiction)
(misc: it was a fun movie.)
Sticking to the Star Wars theme I learned that George Lucus loves using solar sails in his movies. Check out my quote on the topic in the article "The Secret of Solar Sails" in the current issue of Cosmos.

To all my fellow Geeks, here is a Review from the European Mathematical Society of Blockbuster Science: The Real Science in Science Fiction. According to them, I'm crisp, up-tempo, to the point, and humorous. Ah... they know me so well. Ha!

(Disclaimer: buying this book has been proven, more or less, to NOT to be bad for your health.)
Attention to all my writing friends, the Philadelphia Writers' Conference is coming back to town June 8-10. This is its 70th year! I'll be there. We can rock it out together. It is staged at the Wyndham Hotel in (you'll never guess) Philadelphia. Come embrace your creativity. It is also during the weekend of Philadelphia Beer Week (June 1-10). No matter what, if you attend the PWC remember to say hi! I love meeting fellow writers. Perhaps we will have a beer together.

Now allow me to introduce:
Ringo Biggles Woofington -- First of his Name, Protector of the Realm, Eater of Milkbones
He is the newest member of the insane asylum. The little guy isn't much of a scientist, but he is one hell of an explorer. How do the other inmates feel about him? Let me show you.

Let's have some more fun.
Have you ever wondered who's the roundest knight at King Arthur's court? I think it Circumference.

To honor Dr. Stephen Hawking (he is missed) here is the legendary Ant Man vs. Hawking Quantum Chess Match. (oh, and Keanu Reeves meddles)

How about some science-like trickery? In this video, four sets of identical twins stage a pretty good time travel prank.

Here is an article about how U of Penn professors cause problems: Flight delayed after passenger becomes suspicious of equation.

Have you ever wondered where bad light ends up? In a prism.

That's it for now. Stay tuned for more.
